SECTION 193

Under Section 193 of IPC, whoever causes intentional harm or gives false evidence in any stage of a judicial proceeding, or tries to fabricate false evidence for the purpose of being used in any stage of a judicial proceeding, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term that may extend to 7 years and shall also be liable to a fine of certain value. Whoever intentionally fabricates or produces/gives false evidence in any other case shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term that may extend up to 3 years and shall also be liable to fine.

Ingredients:

1. Whoever intentionally gives false evidence in any stage of a judicial proceeding,

2. fabricates false evidence for the purpose of being used in any stage of a judicial proceeding.

Punishment:

This section provides punishment for persons who intentionally gives or fabricates false evidence will be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to seven years, and shall also be liable to fine, and whoever intentionally gives or fabricates false evidence in any other case, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to three years, and shall also be liable to fine.
